After studying languages and teaching English for nearly six years across Asia, I realised the mountainous difficulty faced by international students writing academic English.

When I returned to Australia in early 2011, I decided to set up a website that could help international students, using online technology and the pedagogical methods I had gleaned from the last six years.

Blue-Pencil was born as a brain-child of my experiences, my unothodox education and above all, my love for words, thoughts and essay structure!
